To add on to David's message earlier today about PerX, it is useful to know that the cross-repository search tool is the result of a discipline-based landscape analysis. Although PerX focuses on engineering, the model JISC devised for conducting a subject-based environmental analysis is applicable to other disciplines. My forthcoming DLF report, written in support of the IMLS grant to build "the distributed library," not only highlights PerX, but also recommends that the model could be productively applied to other disciplines.
