Will develop technical solutions to connect disparate system, data sources and user interfaces with integrated library system; conduct user assessment analysis, systems analysis, participate in life-cycle application development, and maintain online technical documents; and lead projects, participate in R&D, liaison with vendors and act as point of technical contact for ILS user communities. Position will be responsible for other duties as required by the scope of this position. The Sheridan Libraries encompass the Milton S. Eisenhower Library and its collections at the John Work Garrett Library, the George Peabody Library, and the Albert D. Hutzler Undergraduate Reading Room. Position requires experience with library technical services functions; In-depth knowledge of MARC formats. Must possess analytic and problem-solving skills; demonstrated aptitude for technical analysis; excellent oral and written communication skills; and the ability to work in a team-based environment and manage multiple tasks concurrently. Significant years of additional experience may be substituted for education requirement. Preferred Qualifications: Masters in Library and Information Science or other related field. Working knowledge of Apache, Tomcat, Java/JSP; database design and administration with major relational RDBMS; PHP, XML, XSLT, CSS, Perl, or other programming skills.
