Exciting News from the DLF Aquifer initiative

Yale University Library has joined the DLF Aquifer initiative, becoming the fifteenth DLF Aquifer participant library. Yale will play an active role in usability and assessment work within the services working group and in the metadata working group. Current information about DLF Aquifer, including accomplishments and future plans, participant libraries and working group members is available on the newly reorganized DLF Aquifer website: http://www.diglib.org/aquifer/.

The October issue of "D-Lib Magazine" contains an article about the DLF Aquifer Asset Actions Experiment. The goal of the asset actions experiment is to insure consistent results across repositories of content from multiple institutions. Learn more and offer your comments about asset actions and the developing DLF Aquifer architectural model at a "Birds of a Feather" session hosted by the DLF Aquifer technology and architecture working group on Thursday 9 November at the DLF Forum in Boston (see http://www.diglib.org/forums/fall2006/ for the Forum schedule).
