Dear Colleagues,
I’m pleased to announce the opening of the DLF Spring
Forum 2007 registration and posting of the preliminary program. Many thanks go
to the Program Committee for all their heavy lifting in pulling together a program,
and all the fine proposals we received from our community.
This Forum is unique in that the DLF Board will be meeting
during a pre-conference session, so they could position them at the heart of
one of DLF’s main activities. Some of the Board Trustees will be
participating in panels and open discussion sessions, engaging DLF Trustees and
activists in a dialogue that may set the pace for the organization as it moves
forward under the leadership of Executive Director Peter Brantley. Also, the
Board would like to extend an invitation to a special evening reception at the
Huntington Library on April 23th for good cheer, conversation, and food.
More information about the Spring Forum 2007 is available
from http://www.diglib.org/forums/spring2007/.
Please note that all attendees, including presenters and Trustees, should
register from the URL http://www.regonline.com/120038,
and all individuals are responsible for their own travel and lodging
arrangements. DLF has contracted a room block at conference hotel, The Westin
Pasadena Hotel, at a rate of $184/night per single occupant referencing “Digital
Library Federation Spring Forum.” Link from the event Web page, registration
form, or visit http://tinyurl.com/rp75b for
more information. The group rate is available until March 15th or until the
block is full, which ever comes first.
Please excuse the cross-posting, as I’ve cast a wide
net to ensure as many interested parties as possible have access to information
about the event.
Regards,
Barrie L. Howard
