Library Web Manager will join another staff person to form a team to create a new Loudoun County Public Library Website that will incorporate current technology and will provide a vibrant and intuitive presentation of our on-line and e-services. The emphasis will be on integrating the standard library website components with all other on-line and interactive library resources such as the on-line catalog. Daily tasks will include managing content of the site, to include writing, designing, and maintaining informational pages and making daily, weekly and monthly updates to website content. Will create web pages for special projects such as the annual Summer Reading Program. Schedule will vary, including occasional nights and weekends. JOB REQUIREMENTS Any combination of education and experience equivalent to a Bachelor's degree and two years experience with Website development and graphic design. Must have an understanding of web design principles and best practices. Experience creating graphics for the web utilizing Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop, or similar software, is desired. Experience with programming languages such as, Perl/CGI, XHTML, CSS, Javascript and PHP preferred. ODBC database skills useful. Some ASP experience is desired.
