Hi everybody and pardon the cross-posting.

I just wanted to announce that http://openurl.code4lib.org is finally
live (after many, many months of being on my to do list).

The intention is to build a community around the use, development and
education of OpenURL/NISO Z39.88 and as a place for people to write
howtos for given services; upload their hacks and scripts for their
particular resolvers/services; sketch out new services/community
profiles/response formats; etc.

OpenURL has been fairly distant, arcane and impenetrable for the
average developer or implementor, and this is an attempt to make it
more accessible to the masses through tools, forums, guides and just
general "community".

So far it's fairly sparse, but it does have:
  - A version of Ann Apps' "Z39.88-2004 KEV Implementation Guidelines"
broken up by sections and "commentable"
  - A small, totally non-exhaustive list of open source tools for
working with OpenURL
  - A feed aggregator for OpenURL related content on the web

What it needs is more content, preferably from you!

So, take a look around, sign up for an account and add some prose (or
code or even just suggestions).

Thanks!
-Ross.
