hello -

I wanted to encourage folks to submit proposals for our Spring Forum,
late April in Minneapolis! I already know of several interesting papers
that will be there, so I think it will be a great mix, and a good meeting.

details are at http://diglib.org/forums/spring2008/ .

I am also pleased to share that our two Monday afternoon keynotes
will be:

david rumsey, digital cartographer, describing new work in Google Earth
and Second Life that will only be unveiled for the first time in March,

and

joel selanikio, founder of datadyne, a company that has created an
opensource framework for data collection using PDAs and cellphones
in the third world; he will also talk about new delivery services.

you can watch a UN sponsored interviewed with joel at -

thanks!
