Dear Colleagues, The Minneapolis/St. Paul Int'l Airport <http://www.mspairport.com> is ~8 miles from downtown Minneapolis. See the airport website for details regarding a comprehensive list of ground transportation options. For those on a tight budget, there is a light rain line that runs from the airport to downtown Minneapolis. The Metro Transit Hiawatha Line (Route 55) <http://www.metrotransit.org/rail/> costs $2.00 during rush hour (6-9AM, 3-6:30PM) and $1.50 otherwise. Take it to Nicolette Mall, and walk 7 blocks South to the Hyatt Regency Minneapolis. Normally a bus transfer would take you to the Hyatt, but this is currently compromised. The City just began road construction on Nicolette Mall, so buses that normally would travel up and down the street and stop in front of the Hyatt have been detoured <http://www.metrotransit.org/news/stories/04_08_nicpaving.asp>. The weather forecast is calling for evening temps in the 30s and daytime temps in the 40s and 50s with clouds a slight chance of precipitation.
