Dear Roy, I would be interested in participating because I have been working on a logo for our library with a designer, and have logos on the brain right now. I may try to publish something about our process and would also like to see the development of another logo for comparison purposes. By the way, I'm the same Emily who commented on your Kindle post (I think I was rather harsh in retrospect)--thank you for your rebuttal, which was reasonable. I'd love to talk about this more some time, since I used to work in book publishing before library school and had a front-row seat to watch the development of some of the ebook projects going on at the time. (I started out as the assistant to Phyllis Grann, famous CEO of Penguin.) I think a lot of the early missteps had to do with paranoia over what had happened to the music industry, with which book publishing is connected on a personal if not official level. If you're going to be at Code4Lib in Providence this year, I will track you down to talk!
