The Statler is a nice facility and could probably accomodate the number of attendees, but I suspect that even with a negotiated conference rate it will be fairly expensive. And, while campus is beautiful, it's a bit out of the thick of things night-life wise, unless we're all willing to channel our inner college student and hit the Palms and Chapter House. ;-) I would prefer the Hilton Garden Inn downtown. As you point out, the downtown location is ideal for restaurants, pubs, etc, and absolutely perfect for hopping on public transportation. It's fairly new, they do conferences/meetings regularly, though I don't know what size groups they usually work with. The Holiday Inn is, IMO, completely out of the question. They try hard but never seem to hit the mark when it comes to facilities and services. HTH!
