Dear Members, It is exciting to report to you about the flurry of activity currently happening within the National Digital Stewardship Alliance. A number of member organizations have volunteered to develop the organizational structure for the first three years of the Alliance. Teams were formed around three topics: * Mission and Values * Membership * Organizational Structure Each of these teams is in the process of creating recommendations on their topics. These teams will convene to review and refine all the recommendations into a cohesive whole at a workshop in December. The suggestions from that meeting will be circulated to the entire Alliance to review and ratify in early January 2011. The working groups have also been very active. Each of the five working groups (Content, Infrastructure, Innovation, Outreach, and Standards) has begun to draft a charter, develop a work plan, hold calls with working group participants, and schedule regular meetings. Ideas for work that were articulated and voted upon at www.ndsa.ideascale.com have influenced the draft work plans. Help direct the work ahead by adding your own idea or commenting on one already there.
