Using the OPAC interface it's possible to harvest binary marc records from III including deleted record detection and id for use in persistent URLS, at a rate of about 4m/hr, with minimal impact on interactive use. This approach does not get all the holdings data; a second pass is needed, and has to be tuned for each site. I think it's time to write up the approach and post the code. Simon
