At the last two DLF Forums, collaboration and community have been central topics; this year they will also be the primary themes of the
Sixth International Conference on Open Repositories (OR11), which will be held June 7 - 11 in Austin, Texas. In light of the growing maturity of the repository arena, the primary theme of this year's conference is "Collaboration and Community: The Social Mechanics of Repository Systems." Jim Jaglieski, a founder of the Apache Software Foundation, will provide the keynote, addressing what ASF has learned on both fronts over more than a decade of support for open source software projects.
The conference steering committee welcomes 2-4 page proposals for presentations or panels on this topic, or dealing with any of the
other conference themes by March 7, 2011.
In addition to papers and panels, the committee also welcomes proposals for
* "24x7 Presentations" -- 24 slides in no more than 7 minutes
* Posters
* User Group presentations for DSpace, Eprints and Fedora
* Workshops, Birds of Feather and Tutorials
