The Ohio Library and Information Network (OhioLINK) is seeking an energetic individual to participate in the development of our state-of-the-art Discovery Layer library application. OhioLINK serves the higher education population in the State of Ohio with 90 college and university member institutions and the State Library of Ohio. This position requires a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or an equivalent combination of education and experience. A Master of Library Science degree from an ALA-accredited institution is desired. Strong analytical and programming skills are required, and candidates should be comfortable working in a Unix/Linux environment with open source software. Experience with the following is highly valued: experience with XML and XSLT; experience with building, configuring, and maintaining Java applications; experience running and maintaining Java application servers, especially Apache Tomcat. Experience with the following is desirable: experience with Solr search engine software; experience with MARC data, with Dublin Core and related metadata schemas, and with OAI-PMH metadata harvesting; experience with standards-compliant HTML, CSS and Javascript; experience with AJAX; strong written and oral communication skills.
