You are invited to attend Discovery Day Camp in Houston, TX!

This free, half-day event will be held on Friday, June 10, 2011 at the University of Houston in the M.D. Anderson Library's Elizabeth D. Rockwell Pavilion from 9:00 am - 1:00 pm, with light refreshments and registration beginning at 8:00 am. Discovery Day Camp will introduce the fundamentals of next-generation discovery and provide a unique opportunity for attendees to discuss the unique teaching, technology, and support aspects of discovery tools in a roundtable format. Discovery Day Camp is intended for libraries that have a discovery platform in place or want to learn more about them. Attendees are encouraged to bring their experiences and questions to share. No prior experience with web-scale discovery tools is required.

The keynote speaker for the event is Marliese Thomas, Librarian for Special Collections Technology at Auburn University.
