We're a III library (yes I know), and looking into the new Sierra product's API that promises to release some of this data to us for use in a 3rd-party product such as you describe. III does have its proprietary Encore Reporter product, but I'm predicting some Sierra sites will look for an open-source product. I'd be very interested in working with others on such an effort.
