Health Science Library Information Technology Professional

The Dana Medical Library seeks an Information Technology Professional to 
provide a variety of Information and communication technology support 
services. Responsibilities: maintain and enhance the organization of 
digital content in library catalogs, websites, and social networking 
tools; collaborate with IT departments in University Libraries, College 
of Medicine, and hospital; participate in library technology planning, 
specify upgrades and lead implementation; develop applications at the 
intersection of health science information and technology and prepare 
reports of library technology use.

Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in computer science or 
technology related field and one-two years related experience; working 
knowledge of web technologies, standards and programming languages such 
as: Oracle, Visual Basic, JavaScript, CSS, PHP, and SQL; knowledge of 
user-center design processes and assessment; ability to troubleshoot 
computer hardware and software; demonstrated communication skills and 
experience in training others in technology use.

Desired Qualifications: Experience in an information technology role in 
a library, hospital or academic setting. Experience with integrated 
library systems and course management systems.
