Dear Robin,

Please have a look at our project http://freeyourmetadata.org/, a platform to explain how to use Google Refine to clean up and reconcile your metadata. Several tutorials, video's and screencast offer hands-on help on how to make the most out of Google Refine, probably one of the best metadata manipulation tools out there. We'll be giving a series of workshops in November and December in Europe (see http://freeyourmetadata.org/join/) and currently we're setting up some dates in the US and Canada from the end of January until March/April, so don't hesitate to contact us if you want us to give a talk at your organization or event. If you're interested in the topic of metadata cleaning and vocabulary reconciliation, please have a look at our paper (http://freeyourmetadata.org/publications/freeyourmetadata.pdf).

Kind regards,
