Hi all,
If you're not already familiar with walkscore.com I highly recommend
looking at it.  You can find various amenities [coffee/ book? bars?] near
the conference hotel and if you go to the More Amenities page, you can add
"hotels" as an amenity and get a good overview of the hotels in the area
and their relative location to the conference hotel.
