Data Management Focus Groups

January 20, 2012, 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.

in Dallas between the ALISE & ALA Conferences

Federal agencies now mandate data management plans in research funding applications. Researchers, libraries, and repositories are struggling to respond to this demand.

We are seeking the input of a wide variety of stakeholders in the research community about the role of university libraries in supporting the data management needs of researchers.

Your participation will help shape recommendations for the future of data management in research libraries.

60-minute focus groups will be held at the UNT System building, Room 419, 1901 Main Street, Dallas, TX 75201. If you can attend one of these sessions, please RSVP via email to [log in to unmask] or call 940-369-5331.

The DataRes Project, funded by a Laura Bush 21st Century Librarians grant from the IMLS, investigates how the library and information science (LIS) profession can best respond to emerging needs of research data management in universities. DataRes is a collaboration between the University of North Texas Libraries, the UNT College of Information, and the Council on Library and Information Resources.

Please visit http://research.library.unt.edu/datares for further information on the DataRes project.
