Hi group, Our talk about an open source software (OSS) decision tree reminded me of DPC's "Decision Tree Interactive Assessment: Selection of Digital Materials for Long-Term Retention" which is available here: http://www.dpconline.org/advice/preservationhandbook/decision-tree/decision-tree-interactive-assessment While their assessment is obviously focused on preservation appraisal and not OSS (and our ability to create a click-through online guide may be limited), this is a good example of a way to provide guidance on a decision-making process. Also, the Code4Lib page linked on the wiki links out to this site, which is a useful example: http://www.oss-watch.ac.uk/resources/procurement-infopack.xml Jefferson Bailey National Digital Information Infrastructure and Preservation Program Office of Strategic Initiatives Library of Congress 101 Independence Ave SE Washington DC 20540-1300 202.707.8654 ############################ To unsubscribe from the NDSA-INFRASTRUCTURE list: write to: mailto:[log in to unmask] or click the following link: http://list.digitalpreservation.gov/SCRIPTS/WA-DIGITAL.EXE?SUBED1=NDSA-INFRASTRUCTURE&A=1
