Happy New Year NDSA Members:

It may seem late for New Year's greetings, but it's never to late to celebrate the accomplishments of the NDSA! Our membership is growing-in the last six months of 2011 we grew by 25% to 110 organizations-and new organizations are signing up weekly. We're amassing a wealth of human and social capital to leverage on our working groups, led by digital preservation advocates and leaders like you.

Speaking of working groups, all five were well represented at the Fall 2011 CNI Membership Meeting. Presenting on particular projects underway be each, upwards of 50 attendees heard talks on the following delivered by working groups representatives:

* Opt-In to Web Archiving-Kris Carpenter Negulescu, Content WG

* "Neighborhood Watch" for Repository Quality Assurance-Trevor Owens, Innovation WG

* How We Do Storage?-Priscilla Caplan, Infrastructure WG

* Standards-ipedia-Rachel Frick, Standards & Best Practices WG

* Dataloss Stories-Trevor Owens, Outreach WG

I've attached a copy of the slides to this message, and they're available in the full context of the CNI event from http://bit.ly/xgG3HN
