Forming smaller groups along these lines sounds like a good plan to me, too. I am interested in the Science category, and would be in favor of broadening that topic to include Medicine.

In thinking about your question on the desired granularity of our "at risk" nominations, it seems as though starting with the identification of content at a broader level then working toward object level might make sense. We would then benefit from having a deeper understanding of the types of content that are at risk as well as specific collections or groups of material.

Subject: [NDSA-CONTENT] Content Teams

In our email yesterday about our plan for 2012 (Text of the email is here, in case you missed it: http://www.loc.gov/extranet/wiki/osi/ndiip/ndsa/index.php?title=Plan_for_2012 ) , we talked about the formation of Content Teams. What do you all think of these proposed groupings?

Government

Politics and Law

Maps and Geography

News, Media, and Journalism

Science

Mathematics and Technology

Social Sciences

World History and Cultures

American History

Arts and Culture

Religion and Philosophy

If you had to sign up for one (well, you will be asked to sign up for one as a member of the Content Working Group) - do you see your organization's content representated? Are these good groupings for us to have? Should we have fewer groups, more? Others? What content do you care about preserving?

Don't worry. I'll keep emailing the list until someone, anyone responds... :)

Abbie
