Hello all. I hope you're surviving the Wikipedia blackout day (or as I call it "The Day Homework Paused"). We had a great Standards working group WebEx yesterday. I'll include the link to the recording below. One of the things we talked about was our digipres staffing survey work. We came up with some great questions for the survey and I've added them at the bottom here: http://www.loc.gov/extranet/wiki/osi/ndiip/ndsa/index.php?title=Staffing_survey_planning_page I've also added a section for use cases, which is a great step in figuring out what this survey is going to look like. I've left the excellent text from Meg (who started us on this work) at the top of the page so those of you unable to make the WebEx can see what we're talking about. I will put together a Doodle poll in the next couple days so we can settle on when our February meeting will be. In the meantime I recommend taking a look through Wikipedia (when it's back up) and seeing what standards-related pages you think need some work as part of our standards survey - if that's work you'd like to participate in. If you're interested in Meg's digital preservation staffing survey then please go to the above NDSA wiki page and add some questions for the survey, edit existing questions on the page and/or add some use cases for the survey. Our February meeting will likely be another "working meeting" wherein we work on these two projects together real-time. Keep an eye out for the Doodle poll!
