Duties And Responsibilities & Minimum Requirements:

The Applications Programmer Analyst participates in the 
planning, design, implementation and maintenance of the 
library’s core digital and library applications, including the 
Integrated Library System, Distributed Digital Library 
Projects, DigitalGeorgetown and library contents platforms. 
This position will have primary responsibility for analysis 
and design of development and integration of software 
components that ensure the interoperability of distributed 
library systems containing digital projects, specialized 
collections, finding aids, licensed resources and educational 
and instructional resources. Bachelor’s in computer science, 
technology, management information systems, computer 
engineering or similar degree. Five to seven years of 
progressive work experience with system implementation, web 
development, management of resources and services. Work 
experience in a university environment highly desirable. 
Experience developing applications in Java, Javascript, and/or 
PHP. Experience with XHTML, HTML, CSS, XML and/or XSL. 
Knowledge of current advances in information systems and 
technologies and their applications in libraries, education 
and research.
