I was moving towards a similar conclusion myself, Trevor, as your
suggestion of having bi-weekly discussion questions on the list. I
could see using some of Andrea's proposed topics as an initial queue
to discuss through. At the same time, it would likely be useful to be
back-filling the discussion-topic queue with other relevant
questions/areas on which list-members would like to get community
feedback. When the two weeks are up for a discussion, we move to the
next (while capturing salient points out to the wiki).
Opinions?

To follow up on Andrew's question about modes of moving forward, it seems to me that the email list is our most useful asset for facilitating these kinds of discussions. In this respect, I could imagine some model where there is a bi-weekly discussion question that we put out to the list and let people dig into it to the extent that they are interested.

With this in mind, anyone who wants to publicly share some discussion piece, or commentary, we could post there and then keep discussion going over the list. The guest blog posts approach has the added benefit in that the ongoing discussion and commentary itself becomes an output from the group.
