Folks:

Below is a quick update on where we are with the in-process rewrite of the
Digital Preservation article. Priscilla and Andrea may want to add their
comments. I unfortunately have been shanghai'd (politically incorrect?) to
make a presentation tomorrow right at 3:00 when our conference call is
scheduled, so I'll have to catch up on the conversation
afterwards. Sorry. /Stephen

1. Priscilla Caplan has joined our revision working group (with me and
Andrea -- others are welcome!)

2. Based on additional input and discussion, we have revised the earlier
outline substantially. The working copy of it is now being managed in
Google Docs:

or tinyurl
         http://tinyurl.com/wikidigpres

It is world readable, but editable right now only by the three of
us. (More welcome to join.)

3. I have made a preliminary stab at interpolating parts of the original
article into the new outline. What I moved over will still need a lot of
work; what I didn't move over is probably not worth retaining, although
others should feel free to counterpropose.

4. On the to-do list right now: Priscilla has agreed to begin drafting
text for the sections starting from the top; I have volunteered to being
drafting text for the sections starting from the bottom. (hm...)
