The California Digital Library (CDL) supports the assembly and creative use of
the world's scholarship and knowledge for the University of California (UC)
libraries and the communities they serve. The CDL currently consists of four
program areas: Collections, Discovery and Delivery Services, PUblishing and
Access services, and the UC Curation Center, and four internal service units:
Business Services, Assessment, Design and Web Production, Information
Services, and Infrastructure and Applications Support.

  
Reporting to the Executive Director, the Manager of Infrastructure and
Applications Support is responsible for technical design, implementation,
maintenance, and operations of the common technology enterprise services that
support all program and service areas. The Manager is responsible for the
Computing and Storage Resource Center comprising a distributed network of CDL-
owned resources at two physical locations and for managing the overall
integration architecture for computing systems, database management systems,
storage systems and network infrastructure. The Manager also provides support
to application developers in the CDL's program areas for the development,
staging and production environments, partnership support for desktop computing
services provided by UCOP's TechDesk,and for collaboration tools supporting
the work of CDL and its partners.
