Good suggestions, Abbie.

I think it would be interesting for some of our Content Teams to do a poster session about their assessment of at-risk material in their topical areas. I think that some of you may have preliminary results by July.

Subject: [NDSA-CONTENT] CWG poster? (FW: Call for proposals, DigitalPreservation 2012/NDIIPP Partners Meeting)

Hi Content Group -
Hopefully you saw this on NDSA-ALL - we've been having listserv issues so not sure what's getting through!

I was thinking it might be good for us to do a poster about our CWG activities for the meeting this summer - what do others think? We should have some thing to report out about the content team activities by then. The posters are during the reception; perhaps a number of us could take turns standing by it so no one person is stuck there during the whole session.

Also, hopefully within a few weeks I'll have draft web archiving survey results (in report form) to share. We've got someone on staff here that's been pulling it all together - I just never found the time, alas. We could talk about that in a poster as well.

Also we encourage you to to submit other topics for lightning talks or other posters, demos or sessions. See below for more information.

I've put in for our desired room/phone for a CWG meeting, I believe that will be Wednesday afternoon but will let you know when I have specific times.

Abbie

Subject: [NDIIPP_PARTNERS] Call for proposals, DigitalPreservation 2012/NDIIPP Partners Meeting

It's that time of year again: planning for the NDIIPP partners meeting is underway. This year's meeting, DigitalPreservation 2012, is scheduled for July 24-26, and will be held in the Washington, DC, area. The theme is access to digital content under stewardship. We are lining up exciting keynote speakers and looking forward to a lively exchange of ideas.

Our annual summer meeting of NDIIPP partners, NDSA members and interested individuals brings together an extensive community to share achievements in the areas of technical infrastructure, innovation, content collection, standards and outreach efforts.

Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:

**Challenges, successes and lessons learned within and between stewarding institutions

**Digital preservation tools, services and other resources

**Best practices for digital preservation practices in smaller institutions

**Educational needs and opportunities for emerging and practicing professionals

**Personal digital archiving

In the interest of broad participation, we are eagerly seeking proposals for 5-minute lightening talks, along with posters and demonstrations. Ideas for workshops and session panels will also be considered.

Please send 300 words or less describing what you would like to present to Erin Engle ([log in to unmask]) by April 23. Accepted proposals will be notified by May 1.

Thanks,

Bill
