 **PTFS, a privately owned, Maryland-based company providing digital archiving and library solutions, as well as professional services including digitization, library staffing, and integration services, has an immediate opening for a Librarian/Cataloger at a client site in the Washington, DC metro area.



**Responsibilities:**

The Librarian/Cataloger will perform processing of government documents,
reports, and other products in a variety of formats.
Through the use of library and cataloging skills process
materials according to archival quality procedures and standards. Enter
existing and/or new records into an archival system.
Maintain monthly and annual records of the number of items added to and
withdrawn from the collection.

Requires at least 5 years library and cataloging or archiving
experience. Familiarity with NARA guidelines and
requirements is a plus. Must be able to follow established
Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and other applicable policies and
procedures. Requires TS/SCI with Full-Scope Polygraph level
clearance.

The candidate must be detail-oriented. The candidate should
be diplomatic and responsive to customer requests, and have the ability to
work in a fast-paced environment independently with minimal
direction. Good interpersonal
communications. The ability to work effectively at a
computer workstation for extended periods of time, and the ability to read and
assimilate information rapidly and use it to make timely and accurate
decisions is required. The ability to work both as part of
a team, and independently with minimal instruction is
necessary. The candidate should be able to communicate
effectively.

**Preferred:**  
Experience processing archival materials and classified information and
records in the IC, a plus.

**Education:**  
Masters of Library Science degree preferred, but not required. Work experience
can be substituted for degree. 

**Security Clearance Required: TS/SCI with Poly level clearance required**.
