The [Daniel Boone Regional Library](http://www.dbrl.org) (Columbia, MO) is
seeking a Network Administrator to join our Information Technology team.

  
**Hours/Days**: Full-time, exempt position - working 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday. Schedule will be determined based on the needs of the department.  
  
**Responsibilites**: This position works under the supervision of the IT Manager and is responsible for design, operation, configuring, installing, and maintaining the network and telecommunications infrastructure of the library system. Extensive experience with networks is strongly desired, including virtual servers, VPNs, switches, routers and firewalls. Ability to monitor and address hardware status, network traffic, QoS, system utilization, and network security. Considerable knowledge of network protocols, routing, switching, and security devices (TCP/IP, IPv4, IPv6, VPN, VLANS, VOIP, wireless, networks and fiber). This position must have the knowledge to set up, monitor and maintain the library's server and domain infrastructure. Must have experience with Active Directory and group policy maintenance. The Network Administrator will participate in the development of security policies, plans and procedures. Besides network administration responsibilities may include, but !
 are not limited to, daily operation and assistance in the backup of the computer systems(s), identifying and repairing equipment problems, assisting in training staff, and assisting in the design and implementation of new technologies.  
  
**Education/Experience**: Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field. Five years job related experience or any combination of education and experience which would provide the necessary competencies of this position listed above. Must have strong interpersonal skills and provide optimal customer service.
