I neglected to note that I'm the owner of the Google Doc and if you join the action team you can request editing permissions from me directly.

Subject: [NDSA-STANDARDS] NDSA Staffing Survey iPRES Poster Action Team

Hello colleagues. We had a very good WebEx today. One of the things we talked about was the iPRES poster for our digital preservation staffing survey. (Attached is the timeline for the poster work.) We are putting together an action team to put together the first draft of the copy for the poster. On the call the following people agreed to serve on the team:

Jimi Jones
Andrea Goethals
Meg Philips
Kate Murray
Carol Kussman

We are still looking for help on this action team. One skill we REALLY need is the ability to interpret (and derive meaning from) statistics. Is there anyone in our group with experience pulling data from surveys and interpreting them? PLEASE step forward if you have that skill set and can help out.

I've put together a Google Doc for this action team to use to put together the copy for the poster. The document is here:
https://docs.google.com/document/d/1Qqf6FPf759TKwHUzCRO3LmKgr_ktEg9GB37r6sd87F4/edit
(or use http://tiny.cc/thqcjw)

We'd like to have a good first draft of the poster copy by the week of September 7th. We'd then like to put this copy in front of the whole group via WebEx the following week (probably Monday or Tuesday, September 10 or 11). Then we'll turn to finalizing the poster copy and working on the poster design (layout, typeface, graphics, etc). Then we'll start bugging you right-brain folks for your help on the design - more on that later.

I'll put together a Doodle poll for the September 10ish WebEx (which will serve as our monthly meeting) and get that out to you all in the next couple days.

So please, if you're interested in working on the iPRES poster action team, reply to this message on the listserv (not just directly to me) and join us. I think we'll have some very interesting conversations about the survey results and I'm sure we'll all learn a lot!

Best,

Jimi
