The [Daniel Boone Regional Library](http://www.dbrl.org) (Columbia, MO) is
seeking a Web Developer to join our Public Relations/Digital Branch team.

  
**Hours/Days**: Full-time, exempt position - working 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday schedule will be determined based on the needs of the department.  
  
**Responsibilities**: This position works under the supervision of the PR Manager and is responsiblefor the design, development and maintenance of the library's digital branchincluding websites and other online services. Installs, configures and managesweb server software. Maintains all DBRL websites in accordance to establishedtechnical, navigational and aesthetic standards. Works closely with the DigitalBranch Coordinator and other staff in presenting the DBRL online and makingrecommendations regarding web content and services. Engages in ongoingeducation and proactive research to determine industry best practices anduncover new methodologies/technologies. Provides oversight to ensure thatwebsite content is compliant with current accessibility, security and privacystandards.  
  
**Education/Experience**: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Web Design andDevelopment or a related area, or an equivalent combination of education andexperience from which comparable knowledge and abilities can be acquired is Must have two to three years of experience of web development usingHTML(5), CSS(3), JavaScript, SQL and Linux/Apache/MySQL systemadministration. Demonstrated knowledge of WordPress, Drupal or similarcontent management systems. Strong interpersonal skills and provide optimalcustomer service required. Ability to manage priorities, meet deadlines and workindependently as well as a part of a team.
