An EKU Library Associate I provides excellent customer service at a busy
public service desk in the Circulation/Periodicals Department of the library.
This individual assists community patrons, students, faculty, and staff in
locating materials through basic, ready-reference research skills: interprets
administrative and operating policies and procedures for the public and
monitors and maintains library equipment. The incumbent performs related
steps, processes, or methods that require a combination of following skills:
problem-solving, teamwork, assessment and communication, facilities oversight,
basic bookkeeping, critical thinking, and electronic data management. The work
produced and/or services provided affect the accuracy, reliability, or
acceptability of the process or services beyond the immediate department or
division, affecting other divisions or the library as a whole. this position
requires strong communication and problems-solving skills. Manage Library
Resources and Data. Provides Excellent Customer Service to Library Patrons.
Provides functional office management and or support to assigned area.
