This is a Term position not-to-exceed 13 months. The appointment may be
extended up to a maximum of 4 years in increments determined by the agency, if
needed.

  
In this position, you will serve as the Supervisory Digital Imaging
Technician, where you will be responsible for managing a range of digital
imaging services in St. Louis, MO. The duty station is scheduled to move to
Valmeyer, IL by December 31, 2012..

DUTIES:

- Supervises a subordinate staff which include duties such as time and attendance tracking/approval, documenting performance, recommending discipline, writing performance appraisals, making recommendations for promotions and providing training to staff.  
- Maintains operational records and reports and furnishes this information as required or requested.  
- Provides oversight and digital imaging technical support.  
- Assists with the development of standard operating procedures and guidelines.  
  
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

  
GS-06 - Candidates must have had one (1) year of specialized experience
equivalent to at least the next lower grade level. Specialized experience is
experience that has equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge,
skills, and abilities (KSA's) to perform successfully the duties of the
position as described above, and that is typically in or related to the
position to be filled.

  
Examples of specialized experience for this grade level include: planning,
coordinating, leading, and/or directing the activities of a group or team of
employees performing digital imaging related activities (e.g. preparing
documents for digital scanning, scanning paper documents; reviewing converted
electronic documents for quality assurance; and verifying and keying document
indexes); making work assignments and distributing work to subordinates,
providing instruction and training when necessary; evaluating performance and
ensuring quality; resolving problems and recommending solutions; preparing and
maintaining reports and production records; utilizing information technology
systems and tools to respond to customers, and analyzing operations.
