One thing that I wanted to add to this discussion... DNT expresses a preference that the user's information not be tracked, stored, etc. It is an orthogonal question to analytics. Google Analytics can be used to track users, but it does not need to be used to track them if all that you are doing is collecting aggregate statistics. r.
