Hi,
I'd be interesting in adding a couple questions
1. the potential or roadmap for adding collaboration or public access to
the archive.
 - I believe Archivematica is currently a prescribed approach to
creating a closed digital archive
(i.e provides preservation but without access (and submission of
content) to any but archives staff)

- if they are planning any front end access, then I have tons of
additional questions (but I will save them)

2. I'd like to learn more about the ingest of different types of content
(and any ability to customize this ingest) - possibly this ties into the
workflow question?

Shawn Nicholson was having trouble posting his questions for our
upcoming talk and discussion with Peter Van Garden Archivmatica and it's
approach to open source software for digital preservation. So I offered
to pass it on to the list.

Here are his questions, What questions would you add? or refinements to
these would you suggest?

".Will version 1.0 be another feature release, or will it signify a beta
commitment? What does your answer mean for developers building tools to
work with Archivematica?
. What are 2 or 3 things that need to happen to broaden interoperability
with major preservation softwares (e.g. FedoraCommons, ContentDM,
Digital Commons)?
.What can you say about the rumored "workflow customization gui"? Are
there implications for institution-specific workflows and policies?
.What performance tests does the Archivematica team run? Can you share
anything about the specific metrics or performance goals?"

Dear Trevor,

I'm not certain if my September 27 post to the list serv ever actually
appeared. I've appended it so that you may send to the list if
necessary.

Regards,
Shawn

Disappointingly, I will not be able to attend the October ConCall with
Peter VG. As I indicated I do have a few Qs to offer for your
consideration, please see appended.

Regards,
shawn
