Xavier University of Louisiana, a historically black Catholic university, seeks a collegial, dynamic individual who will serve as the Systems Librarian of the Library for a non-tenure-track faculty position. The Systems Librarian is responsible for all aspects of planning, development, and maintenance of library computer and network operations. Develops training and documentation for library staff. Responsibilities also include liaison and problem solving for the Xavier Automated Catalog; liaison with IT staff; development of custom applications for library users, and creation and maintenance of the Library's homepage. Qualifications include an MLS from an ALA-accredited library school and three years of full-time, post degree professional experience in library systems and automation technologies in an academic library setting.
