JOB DESCRIPTION:

  
ACT's archives offers foundational support to the company from providing
documentation in patent infringement cases to facilitating text and data
mining for research.

  
Typical work-related activities include:

  
Assessing the current state of the print and online collection.

Recommending, planning, and initiating the conversion and migration to digital
format.

Identifying and implementing the designated database and platform for storage,
accessibility, and searchability functions.

  
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  
Applicants must be currently enrolled and actively pursuing a Master's or PhD
degree in Library or Information Science, or Informatics, and must have
completed one year of the Master's degree program or two years of the PhD
program. Applicants must have knowledge of digital preservation of archival
materials and principles and practices for item description/metadata.
Familiarity with EAD, METS, XML, PREMIS, and other data structure standards
relevant to archival control of digital collections, as well as project
management capabilities.

COMPENSATION:

Total compensation for the nine-week position will be $6,750.00, less
