**Visiting Academic Professional (1 year grant position)**  
  
**Position Available:** This position is available as soon as possible. Candidates must have valid legal authorization to work in the U.S. by the start date of the position. This is a 50%-time, one year visiting Academic Professional position in the University Library, with a possibility of extension.  
  
**Duties and Responsibilities:** Reporting to the co-Principal investigator of a grant funded by the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation to expand and enhance the successful Data Management Planning (DMP) Tool http://dmptool.org/, the Communications Coordinator and Requirements Builder will implement and coordinate the communications activities and requirements building for the second phase of the DMPTool. This one- year project will involve extensive interactions with the stakeholder communities for the DMPTool, including researchers, funders, librarians, and their institutions in order to gather requirements for the tool, get feedback on iterations, and increase the use of the tool.  
  
**Required:** Bachelor's degree in a science, social science, or humanities discipline; demonstrated knowledge of data management and curation issues as evidenced by coursework or work experience; prior professional or pre-professional experience in an academic environment; excellent written and oral communication skills; demonstrated knowledge of the use of social media in community engagement.

**Salary:** Salary will be commensurate with candidate's experience and qualifications, but the upper limit is fixed by the terms of our grant.  
  
**Terms of Appointment: **This is a 50% time position for a twelve-month appointment. Benefits are contingent on % time worked and discussed at interview.
