**Minimum Experience/Education Journey: **  
  
Graduation from a four-year college or university; or high school and four
years of library experience; or an equivalent combination of education and
experience.

  
**Essential Job Duties The essential job duties include but are not limited to the following:**  
  
Assist with user research/usability studies using a variety of techniques
(e.g. formal/informal usability testing, online surveys, card sorting,
interviews, observations, focus groups, participatory design).

  
Provide support for media creation and digitization (audio and video editing,
scanning, and format conversion) and web-based projects (Omeka, Drupal, or
other content management system) developed in the unit.

  
Conduct regular web analytics to identify opportunities for improvement.

  
Assist with web accessibility audits.

  
**Other Work/Responsibilities  
Departmental Preferred Experience, Skills, Training/Education The preferred
candidate will have the following:**

  * Experience in an academic library setting.
  * 
  * Proficiency with usability testing software such as Morae, is desired.
  * 
  * Experience designing and/or evaluating library systems or other complex websites.
  * 
  * Experience designing and/or evaluating mobile interfaces.
  * 
  * Experience with a variety of user research/usability methods.
  * 
  * Familiarity with web accessibility standards and coding techniques.
  * 
  * Experience with HTML/CSS and knowledge of more advanced front-end technologies.
  * 
  * Experience with web analytics analysis.
