Based in Montreal, Moment Factory specializes in creating "unforgettable moments" for its audiences across the world. Moment Factory is among the world leaders of multimedia events with more than 300 shows and installations. Creating this type of born-digital work has created terabytes of data that need to be managed. The Moment Factory archives works with projects from conception to integration to ensure that what we create is documented, findable and preserved. ROLE Moment Factory is looking for a motivated Digital Asset Manager to be responsible for our digital media asset collections. MAIN TASKS * Extract, process and organize assets for reuse * Manage our internal asset bank * Advise and manage the purchasing of stock footage and photography for projects * Define the architecture of the media collections in collaboration with the IT director Qualifications: -Certificate or Degree in archives, digital information management, media studies or equivalent experience. -2 to 4 years of experience with the functioning of a mediatheque and archiving digital media. -Experience or training in taxonomy development and maintenance. -Experience with digital asset management and visual research. -Knowledge of MAC & PC platforms and Adobe creative suite. -A familiarity & ease with technology, not a mastery of any one software. -A passionate & patient manner. -A curiosity about new media art and media production. -Independent spirit & the ability to fill in the blanks -Strong analytical skills and problem solving. -Good energy and positive attitude to work in a dynamic team. -Attention to details, and the ability to explore alternatives, risks, and benefits. -Good time management with minimal supervision. -Functional French and English, written and spoken.
