The Digital Asset Curator serves as an instructional consultant, a technology specialist, an educator, anda research partner with an emphasis on the use and development of online information resources forteaching and learning, including web-based resources. The position works closely with faculty andcolleagues to develop, administer, and coordinate services associated with digital assets and learningobjects used by faculty and students of the college, including the college's teaching collection of 100,000+digital images (used primarily but not exclusively by the Art and Art History Department), academicmaterials for the web, and the college's digital repository (maintained in close collaboration with theArchives). As a member of the Research and Instruction Liaison Team, this position is also responsible forsupporting a variety of activities in support of teaching, learning, and scholarship. These activities couldinclude providing research consultations, instructional services, and assisting in implementing appropriateeducational systems and technologies. This position collaborates with members of LIS to design creativeworkshops and teaching sessions for students, faculty, and colleagues.The Digital Asset Curator is a part of the Liaison Team of the Research and Instruction (Ra group composed of professional educators with varied backgrounds - librarians, web designers,instructional designers, instructional technologists. The liaisons share a common skill set, while also eachbringing a unique set of skills to the group and to the curriculum.
