TheCarnegie Library of Pittsburgh (CLP) seeks a dynamic and
engaged technology leader to play a key role in positioning the Library as a
recognized, trusted and relevant resource for our community in an increasingly
digital world. The successful candidate for this newly created position will
possess a shared vision of the importance of technology in the delivery of
modern public library services, and will be able to effectively communicate
and implement that vision and related strategies. Reporting
to CLP's President and Director, the Director of Digital Strategy and
Technology Integration will coordinate system-wide initiatives related to
digital strategy and technology, direct the work of the Information Technology
Department and work to further our organization's digital transformation,
ensuring that CLP is recognized as a trusted and relevant resource for our
community. This position will inspire staff to keep abreast of cutting-edge
technologies and develop mechanisms for communicating with and assessing the
needs of both staff and community members. The Director of Digital Strategy
and Technology Integration has the opportunity to shape and
executethe use of technology in order to enhance the
library customer experience in a changing library landscape. The person in
this position will represent CLP in local, regional and national conversations
related to libraries and technology. Qualified applicants will have a minimum
of five years of library or technology management experience or experience in
a learning organization or related setting, including supervisory experience;
a Masters in Information Technology, Library Science or related field is
desirable; a documented combinationof education and
experience relative to the requirements of the position will be considered.
