Greetings from the Villanova Tech Trifecta Superfecta Team,

Falvey Memorial Library at Villanova University is once again proud to announce a series of events, nicknamed the Tech Superfecta, taking place during the week of October 14th, 2013. The now four conferences making up the Tech Superfecta week include:

  * VuFind Summit 2013<http://vufind.org/wiki/vufind_summit_2013> (Oct 14th and 15th) -- The follow-up to 2012's VuFind 2.0 discussions and unveiling, this event will include detailed discussion of the new release and opportunities to network with other VuFind users, along with new workshops and roundtables for both VuFind veterans and those new to the software.

  * Code4Lib Mid-Atlantic 2013<http://wiki.code4lib.org/index.php/Code4lib_Mid-Atlantic> (Oct 16th) -- Code4Lib is a volunteer-driven collective of hackers, designers, architects, curators, catalogers, artists and instigators from around the world, who largely work for and with libraries, archives and museums on technology "stuff." With mostly-regular monthly meetings, Villanova is volunteering to take the October meeting spot for the big Six-Months-from-the-National-Conference meet-up day.

  * VuStuff IV<http://vustuff.org/> (Oct 17th) -- VuStuff is an annual conference on the intersections between technology and scholarly communication that takes place every Fall at Villanova University's Falvey Memorial Library. This year's conference, VuStuff IV, will seek presentations from regional librarians on technology and scholarly communication in their respective libraries. We hope to foster an ongoing conversation among regional libraries, in order to further the development of technology in service of scholarly communication.

  * VuClass (Oct 18th) - This year, we're adding an extra day of workshops to the end of the texh trifecta week. In the morning, Joanne Quinn, Design Specialist at Falvey Library will be teaching a workshop on Graphic Design for beginners, and in the afternoon Demian Katz and David Uspal, Tech Developers at Falvey Library will be doing a workshop entitled "Programming 001", designed to teach non-technical people the basics of programming and to help understand technology terminology.

If you haven't already signed up for this year's event, I encourage you to do so soon as possible, since space is once again limited (especially for the VuClass workshops). For details or to register for this year's events, follow the links above or head to:

As well, we're still accepting proposals for talks at three of the events. Those who are interested in presenting can sign up for a speaker's slot at:
