This position is located in the Library Services and Content Management
Division, Projects and Systems Unit, Web Content Section of the U.S.
Government Printing Office, Washington, DC.

  
The selectee will work shift 1 and have a tour of duty 7:30am to 4:00pm.

  
GPO and LSCM have Telework Policies that allow for telework part time.

  
KEY REQUIREMENTS

  
  
•U.S. Citizenship is required.

DUTIES:

  
The Lead Web Content Specialist leads a team of IT Professionals supporting
GPO's information dissemination programs for the Federal Depository Library
Program (FDL libraries) and other GPO stakeholders. As the Team Lead the
incumbent performs the following duties:

  
•Leads IT professionals in the development and management of web content
services, databases, and tools that GPO makes available in support of GPO's
information dissemination programs.

•Ensures appropriate web design, user interface design, and usability. Ensures
compatibility and compliance to GPO and Federal standards and best practices
for Web design, user interface design, accessibility, privacy, and legislative
mandates.

•Coordinate the web development work of outside contractors, ensuring that
contractual obligations are sucessfully fullfilled within established time
constraints.

•Evaluates database-driven Web applications, technical developments, and other
emerging Web technologies, in an effort to provide LSCM Administration with
well-informed recommendations.

•Ensures appropriate documentation of policies, procedures, and web usage
statistics is available for the FDLP and other information dissemination
services.

technologies.

•Ability to lead a team in the development of web services using related
software tools and technologies.

•Ability to communicate orally with individuals and groups with diverse
interests to accomplish program goals and objectives.

•Ability to communicate in writing.
