LibHack 2014 <http://www.libhack.org/> is a hackathon focused on library-related APIs, and will be held at the University of Pennsylvania's Van Pelt Library on Friday, January 24, 2014. There are two tracks - one for the OCLC APIs, and one for the Digital Public Library of America's API. While the OCLC track is targeted towards beginners and the DPLA track is targeted towards "intermediate/advanced" hackers, beginners interested in the DPLA should not be scared away! We'll have several DPLA staff members available throughout the day (two for the whole day, and two others at various points of the day) able to answer your questions and help you to get started. LibHack is the same weekend is the 2014 American Library Association Midwinter Meeting, but is not part of the official ALA Midwinter program. Therefore, you're welcome to participate without attending or registering for ALA Midwinter. Registration is $25.00 through Eventbrite: https://libhack2014.eventbrite.com/ Cheers, Mark A.
