***Attention E-Science Institute (ESI) participants***

Former E-Science Institute (ESI) participants have expressed an interest in a follow up to the Strategic Agenda workshops. The evaluations from these events also strongly encouraged the ESI to offer additional programming around research data management services and infrastructure.

A Peer Network and Mentoring Program is under consideration for past participants that would facilitate the development of next-step plans for research data management services and would involve a group of selected consultants to work with individuals or teams at ESI institutions. They would assist with an assessment of an institution's Strategic Agenda and offer suggestions about planning and implementing research data management services. The group of consultants would work with experts in the field in preparing their advice about the services under discussion. We envision the growth of a community of practice around research data management if a number of institutions engage in this program.

If you participated in the ESI, CLIR/DLF would appreciate you spending a small amount of time (about 30 minutes) answering a survey designed to discover how widespread this interest remains and to identify areas where support would be most useful to libraries today. The information that you provide will be treated as confidential and no attempts will be made to link your responses with other external data sources. Aggregate information from the survey will be shared with the community and we will take precautions to guard against any respondent or institution being disclosed in these summary results.

The survey asks questions about developments at your institution since your participation in ESI. In particular, we are interested to learn about the steps that your institution has taken since the workshop and to know if there are specific activities or items in which we might assist.

The survey can be found at https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/ESI_PNG and will remain open through Thursday, February 13.

Thank you for your participation and your time. We look forward to receiving your feedback!
