Posting Summary:

The Arthur J. Morris Library of the University of Virginia School of Law
invites applications for a postdoctoral fellowship in Digital Humanities
beginning September 1, 2014 and ending August 31, 2015. Fellows may apply for
an additional year at the discretion of the Library. The fellowship provides a
stipend of $45,000 plus health insurance. We welcome candidates who have
received a Ph.D. in any humanities field no earlier than 2011. Applicants for
the fellowship must have been awarded their Ph.D. by the time of application
or furnish proof that all documentation required for the Ph.D. has been
submitted to the institution by July 31, 2014.

  
Candidates must have experience in archival methods, digital collections
management, and historical research. Candidates are especially encouraged to
apply who have experience in database design and website development. The
fellow will work to further the Library's mission of preserving and
interpreting the history of the School of Law and legal education through
archival digitization and web-based public history exhibitions. The fellow
will attend relevant library and technology conferences with the expectation
that he or she will develop workshops and presentations that contribute to the
scholarly community.
