Hi all,

At today's digital video group call, I offered to ask the Academy if I could
share the raw survey questions that were used in compiling data for the
section on non-profit archives in "The Digital Dilemma 2." DD2 was an NDIIPP
product, and I was the primary researcher for that section of the report
(download here:
http://www.oscars.org/science-technology/council/projects/digitaldilemma2/in
dex.html)
The report summarizes some of the data results, but doesn't include the raw
survey questions. Andy Maltz and Milt Shefter, the work's two authors,
agreed that I can share the surveys with this group.

There are two surveys: one for archives with digital preservation programs,
and one for those without. Research was conducted in 2009, so it will be
very interesting to compare the data from 5 years ago to results received
from the survey this group is developing. As you'll see, there are several
questions overlapping between the two projects.

Please let me know if you have any questions on the surveys. I used
SurveyGizmo since at the time it had more support for complex tabular and
percentage-based questions than SurveyMonkey.

Best,
Linda
